In 2024, Hongke, a leading Chinese industrial equipment manufacturer completed a 200 t/d ceramsite proppant production line project for an oilfield service enterprise in western Iran, with the core equipment being a Φ2.5×40 ceramsite rotary kiln.
As Iran has a large number of oil and gas fields, the demand for high-performance fracturing proppant ceramsite sand is growing rapidly to increase oil and gas extraction efficiency. This project is customized according to local abundant high-aluminum bauxite resources. The rotary kiln adopts a mature medium-temperature calcination process of 950-1050°C, equipped with intelligent temperature control system and advanced sealing technology, which can effectively reduce heat loss and energy consumption. The whole production line uses high-quality alloy materials and modular structure, which is convenient for transportation and installation in Iran's complex terrain.
After 12 months of stable operation, the project meets the Iranian customer's expectation: the annual output reaches 60,000 tons of qualified ceramsite proppant, the product crushing strength meets international oilfield standards, the unit energy consumption is 18% lower than that of Iran's original old equipment, and the overall production cost is reduced by nearly 15%. This project not only meets the local demand for high-end ceramsite sand, but also provides a reference for Chinese rotary kiln equipment to enter the Middle Eastern market.
