Rod Mill

Rod mills are professional grinding equipment widely applied in mineral processing flows. They are capable of finely grinding ore materials of various hardness to meet subsequent processing requirements. In recent years, rod mills have also been extensively used in the manufactured sand industry for construction sand production and other aggregate processing scenarios.

Driven by a motor through gear transmission or a low-speed synchronous motor via peripheral gears, the rod mill cylinder rotates steadily. Steel rods serving as grinding media are installed inside the cylinder. With the rotation of the cylinder, the steel rods generate centrifugal force and friction, lifting to a certain height before falling in a projectile motion. After raw materials enter the cylinder, they are continuously impacted, crushed and ground by the grinding media to achieve fine crushing and pulverization effects. A unique advantage of the rod mill is that the discharge particle size can be easily adjusted through simple parameter modifications, a feature unavailable in most other grinding equipment.
